Meet TaWanda
TaWanda Stallworth is a proud daughter of Cumberland County. A graduate of Carlisle High School, her family has lived here for seven generations, with deep roots in many civic, faith, and service organizations. They taught TaWanda the value of hard work, faith, and giving back to her community.
Like many of us, TaWanda has faced tough times. As a young adult, an abusive relationship and battle with addiction landed her in jail for a time, but she fought back and chose a better life. TaWanda truly understands our struggles because she’s lived them too.
Thanks to her faith and personal resolve, TaWanda rebuilt a middle class life in Cumberland County — one focused on faith and service to community. TaWanda is now a program manager at Penn State Dickinson Law, a leader in her church, and holds leadership positions in numerous community organizations. She is known for her ability to bring people together to get things done.
Now, TaWanda is running for State Representative to change how business is done in Harrisburg and bring opportunity back to our district. She believes we deserve a leader who works just as hard as we do — make sure everyone has a voice and real opportunities to build a better life.
